Ann Arbor Community Church is a new church with deep roots.

For nearly fifty years, our community has gathered in different places and under different names, beginning in the mid-1970s with a handful of University of Michigan students meeting for worship in a dorm room. As we grew, we found a home in Milan in the 1990s and later moved into our current building, the former Ann Arbor Civic Theatre.

In 2025, we discerned a call to become something new — building on the foundation of our past, but stepping forward as a fresh expression of faith for the future. Ann Arbor Community Church was born from that calling: a place of belonging, healing, justice, and joy.

Today, we are a diverse, Spirit-led community, following Jesus together and seeking the good of our city and world. We honor our history, and are committed becoming a community where everyone is welcomed, loved, and invited to become like Jesus.
